About Us: 

The New Hampshire SPCA is a vital community resource dedicated to strengthening the bond between animals and people. Since 1872, we have remained committed to our vision of ensuring every animal has a safe, loving home.

At the NHSPCA, we provide adoption, education, investigation, and sheltering services with professionalism, compassion, and care. We serve more than 121 communities throughout Rockingham and Strafford Counties, southern Maine, and northern Massachusetts.

Each year, our Adoption Center welcomes nearly 4,000 unwanted, neglected, abused, or surrendered animals from our local region and across the country. Every animal that comes through our doors receives individualized care, including a warm bed, nutritious food, veterinary treatment, and the time, attention, and support needed to prepare them for a successful future.

Our dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure each animal is given every opportunity to find the best possible new home and the second chance they deserve.

The NHSPCA is a non-profit organization (501c3) serving over 121 communities in the Greater Seacoast of New Hampshire, southern Maine and northern Massachusetts. We receive no federal or state funding and rely solely on community support to care for the animals that come through our doors each year.
