Any individual may donate. Donations made through shelterslumberpawty.org to nonprofit organizations are 100% tax-deductible and irrevocable. Donations will not be refunded. Contributions may be made via credit card, debit card, PayPal, Venmo, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or ACH. Cash and check gifts are accepted and can be made directly to your preferred participating nonprofit organization.

Early giving for the Shelter Slumber Pawty begins on Friday, March 14, 2025. The Shelter Slumber Pawty kicks off at noon on Saturday, April 5 and will end at noon on Sunday, April 6. Any donations received between March 14 and noon on April 6 will count toward your overall event total.

A Most Unique Donors Prize is all about volume. Nonprofits are competing to bring in the most individual donors in the listed time period, and the aim is to help bring in more people! Because these hours calculate individual donors, one person making multiple donations in the space of an hour will be counted as a single donor. In the case of tie, the prize will be awarded to the organization with the most dollars raised during that time period.
Golden Tickets are random chance drawings during a designated time period. Times shown are in Central Standard time. Winners will be posted at the end of the time time period listed. Each online gift a donor makes during that time period enters the donor for a random chance to win money for the cause they support. The Mightycause platform will randomly select a donor who has given to an eligible nonprofit during that time period as the winner of the Golden Ticket. The organization will win a prize on top of that donor's generous gift. Only online donations count towards Golden Tickets.
