Another foster journey started today. This sweet boy is just 2 days old and needs all the prayers and donations he can get! He was born with some sort of deformity to both front legs. His name is Forrest and he would like to run some day! Please donate to help get him some leg braces and running shoes. He said his momma told him "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get." Well little one what you're going to get is the best care possible and love! Okay so I don't know about the leg braces or running shoes, but I do know he needs donations for future imaging, testing and possibly surgery. So please Gump fans RUN! Five years ago, I began my foster journey with four tiny neonatal kittens abandoned far too young to survive on their own. Smaller than my hand, eyes closed, needing round-the-clock care. From the moment they came into my home, I knew I found my purpose. 🐾
Fostering, especially neonatal kittens, is filled with heartbreak. There were kittens who didn’t survive. Some fell to panleukopenia, a deadly virus, and had to be euthanized. Some needed amputations after serious injuries. Some struggled with upper respiratory infections, pneumonia, diabetes, skin infections, seizures, intestinal parasites, eye deformities, ringworm, or hernias. I’ve watched helplessly as some kittens passed away in my arms. But each loss only deepened my resolve to continue.
As a foster my biggest role is supporting the shelter’s ability to rescue and care for even more animals in need. The costs of medical care, crisis boarding, food, and supplies quickly add up, and without funding, these animals may not get the second chance they deserve. That’s why I’m raising money—to help cover these costs to save even more animals in need. Your support ensures these animals receive the care they need.
