Mary's 2025 BAHS Shelter Slumber Pawty

I am participating in Boone Area Humane Society’s second Shelter Slumber Pawty. On April 5th, dedicated staff and volunteers (myself included) will be spending 24 hours at the shelter with our adoptable cats and dogs to raise crucial funds to continue providing food, medical care, and housing to animals in need. Your donation, no matter the size, makes a difference to the animals in the Boone community.

Ophelia, pictured above, is a BAHS alum. Her story began tragically when she was found in a hoarding situation two years ago. She, along with several of her littermates and other cats in the house, was found to be suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection and malnourishment. Thanks to the monetary support provided to BAHS, Ophelia was given a chance at life. She is now a playful loving member of my household, all reminders of her difficult kittenhood put behind her.
