Tyler's Fundraiser for 2025 Slumber Pawty

Join us on April 5th for the 2nd Shelter Slumber Pawty, where dedicated staff and volunteers, including myself, will spend 24 hours at the shelter with our wonderful adoptable cats and dogs! This event is a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for food, medical care, and housing for needy animals. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a significant difference in the lives of these furry friends.

As an Animal Control Officer at the BAHS, I've worked here for just over a year now, and I love my job. Every day, I get to help animals who need us the most. One of the notable residents at the shelter is Humphrey (pictured above), a cat who has truly captured my heart. He came to us as a terrified and feral little guy, rescued by his siblings from a challenging hoarding situation. With patience and care, we provided him with the necessary medical attention, and slowly but surely, he began to trust us.

Humphrey has undergone a remarkable transformation and is a shining example of resilience. He is now a loving, sweet, and handsome boy who adores everyone he meets. At BAHS, we rescue thousands of animals like Humphrey each year, ensuring they find the best homes possible.
