UPDATE!!!!!!!!! With just 3 days until I GET TO sleep in the kennel with one of the adorable dogs, I still have some fundraising to do!
This event is a critical fundraiser for the animals here at the NHSPCA and reaching our collective goal is super important. With the funds raised we will be able to care for each and every animal that turns to us for help, whether a dog or cat, a horse or a bunny, we respect and care for all creatures.
And, that respect carries us straight up to the other end of the leash as well. We are proud to offer a multitude of services for people who are trying to keep their beloved pets with them, whether they need affordable veterinary care (and truly, who doesn't?), food support, emergency shelter, training, and more.
Everyone deserves the love of a pet, and every pet deserves the love of a family. Please help me raise awareness of the animals that need that next break and the funds to make it possible.

Hello! and Welcome to Sheila Ryan's Shelter Slumber Pawty page!
I'm so excited to share with you that, once again, I will be spending 24 hours side-by-side with an awesome shelter dog at the New Hampshire SPCA's Shelter Slumber Pawty. I will be literally hanging out in their kennel, caring for them, and even sleeping on the kennel floor snuggled up to them! All to raise funds and awareness of the importance of high quality care in the shelter.
As you know, I've been a staff member here for a long time. Eighteen years, actually! I have seen so many wonderful expansions of care and services over the years and I'm deeply honored to be here and proud of our entire team.
In all of those years, I have never been more committed to helping every animal find a safe and loving home than I am now. Animal cruelty and neglect was near record numbers in 2024 and intake of adoptable animals was nearly 4,000! And, we need to do more. Animal overpopulation, hoarding, neglect and abandonment are all increasing. We are here to save as many as we possibly can. and myself and 19 other brave (or nutty) people will be fundraising throughout the day and night to raise awareness for the lifesaving work of the NHSPCA.
My goal is to raise $10,000 to support the mission of the NHSPCA and I'm gonna need your help to get there!
I hope you are in a position to consider a generous gift knowing that every dollar raised will make a difference for homeless, neglected, and abused animals. Together we will help provide safe shelter, attentive care, critical medical services, and the second chance that each animal so greatly deserves.
